Short version: we collect very little, we never sell it, and we never ask for passwords, OTPs or IDs.
Who we are
PHFUN.my is an independent information site run by Chris Avelino. Contact: chrisavelino@phfun.my.
Data we collect
- Emails you send us: your address and message, used only to reply.
- Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser and pages visited) kept by our hosting provider for security and performance.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides are read (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies.
- Cookies: see our cookie policy. This site sets no advertising cookies.
What we never collect
We never ask for your PHFUN password, OTP codes, e-wallet PINs or ID documents. Anyone claiming to be us and asking for them is a scammer. See our safety checklist.
Legal basis and your rights
We handle personal data in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the principles of Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. You may ask to access, correct or delete data we hold about you by emailing us.
Third-party sites
When you click to the PHFUN platform or other external sites, their privacy policies apply. Read our affiliate disclosure for how referral links work.
Retention
We keep emails only as long as needed to respond, and no longer than 12 months.
